Thank you

I wish to thank the 6,200 residents of Johns Creek who saw the need for, and importance of, participating in our city government by voting for who should lead our city.  Voting is a responsibility the community must take very seriously if Johns Creek is to be the city we all want it to be.

Campaigning for office has been a wonderful experience for me.  I met many very nice people who are seriously interested in what is best for our city.  I hope my candidacy has inspired others in the community to consider serving in elected office.

As the candidate in this election not aligned with either mayoral candidate, I am pleased that I received votes in equal percentages from voters who supported Bev Miller and voters who supported Mike Bodker.  I am glad that I was seen as the candidate willing to be involved in our city government for the benefit of the community instead of any political alliance.

The vote on November 5th selected the two finalists for City Council Post 3.  The job is not done.  Everyone can and needs to vote in the runoff election to be held on December 3rd.  That is the real vote that will determine who will serve on city council.

In deciding whom to vote for in the runoff election, my advocacy has been and is for bringing a fresh perspective to city council, for increasing outreach to the community by council members, for greater transparency in our city government, and for any person who is willing and able to put in the hard work and dedication that is necessary to properly serve the city.
