Trumped up Mayoral Forum

Disappointment continues surrounding the upcoming JC City elections. Once again, politics appears to have sunk to a new low. I have no doubt it was all with good intentions when the organizer began his attempts to set up an additional "Mayoral Candidate Forum". However, when he was unsuccessful in confirming a date with the candidates somehow flyers appeared on cars at the original Mayoral debate held a JCHS stating that there was to be an additional forum held.

One must ask if this was all done above board, with both candidates agreeing to the "Historical First ever Mayoral Candidate Public Forum", why was there no announcement made that evening at the original debate? Wouldn't we want to shout it from the roof tops that JC was doing something historical? I know the Mayor is very big into promoting this city and all that he has done for it.

Why would the JCCA send out incorrect information stating that there was to be a debate, hosted by Hatcher Hurd when both candidates had not agreed to a date and time?

I am surprised Hatcher Hurd would not seek confirmation from both parties before agreeing to such an event. If he had I'm sure he would not have allowed his name to be associated with the flyer that now is being sent out by PTA's.

Now, we have a candidate having a press release stating a date and time was never agreed upon. I'm sure if one was agreed too the organizer or the President of the JCCA will be happy to provide the emails from both candidates showing where they both agreed upon a mutual date and time.

I ask for either of them to post the emails if there are any to this site.
