The Royal Tiara of Malaysia

Happy Tiara Tuesday!  This week we bring you an incredible tiara from Malaysia!  This stunning tiara is the Gandik Diraja, or the Royal Tiara of Malaysia!

This tiara is made of platinum and diamonds, and has beautiful elegant motifs of a crescent with a star at its center and unfurling clouds known as awan larat.  Its intricacy is breathtaking, and the design works well with the different looks and styles of the ever -changing Queens.

As part of the royal jewels, this tiara is passed from Queen to Queen with the election every five years, instead of becoming a part of one's personal collection.  This has allowed for many Queens to wear it in a short period of time, and each pulls it off with her own style and grace.

Also in the royal jewels of Malaysia is a necklace, again made of platinum and diamonds.  The length of the necklace can be altered by adding or removing the detachable pendants in front.

This tiara is a stunning example of design that is beautiful while being versatile.  Which is great because every new queen can being something new or special to the tiara in how she presents it on herself!

Thanks for reading and have a fantastic Tiara Tuesday!
