Kids Can Go Hunting at Newtown Park

Johns Creek's 2014 Easter Egg Hunt will start at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12.

Children who reside in Johns Creek will soon have their chance to go Easter egg hunting.

The city will hold its 2014 Easter Egg Hunt for kids age 10 and younger at Newtown Park on Saturday, April 12. The hunt will begin at 11 a.m. sharp on the main soccer field.

Activities before the hunt, including a moonwalk, face-painting, petting zoo and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, will start at 10 a.m.

The free event, sponsored by the city's Recreation and Parks Division, will feature 6,000 eggs, most of which will be filled with goodies and toys. A few hidden eggs that will worth special prizes will also be hidden among the massive amount of eggs. 

The hunt will be structured according to age with youngsters organized by ages 0-2, 3-4, 5-7 and 8-10.

Children should bring their own Easter baskets, and parents should bring their own cameras.
