North Fulton AAUW BookFair Begins Sept. 25

The book fair will be held at Perimeter Mall.

 

The 53nd Annual AAUW Bookfair, selling over 75,000 gently-used books at bargain prices, will be held in late September at Perimeter Mall. 

Books for sale include first editions and autographed collectibles, as well as more than 30 other categories including works by southern authors, mysteries, science fiction, popular fiction, reference, business, history, politics, biography, romance, foreign language, cookbooks, the arts, travel, military, philosophy, religion and much more. There is an excellent selection of children’s books, including picture books, Pre-K early reading, and those of interest to grade school and upper level students. Educational materials, audio tapes, cassette tapes, CD’s and DVD’s are also available.

Bookfair is sponsored by the three local branches of AAUW: Atlanta, Cobb County and North Fulton.

AAUW (American Association of University Women), with its mission to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research, is an over 100-year old nationwide network of over 100,000 members, 1,000 branches and 500 college/university partners.

Bookfair proceeds have enabled AAUW volunteers to donate over $1 million in support of educational endeavors, both locally and nationally. In the Atlanta metro area, scholarships are awarded to students at local educational institutions, grants are made to community nonprofits and funding is given in support of community programs. 

The event will be at Perimeter Mall, 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road NE, during mall hours, Wednesday, Sept. 26 – Sunday, Sept. 30. There is no cost to shop, except opening night, Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 6 p.m.–9 p.m., at $10.
