Johns Creek Sisters Form Team To Defeat Cancer

The sisters, who attend Johns Creek High School, have formed the Lifesavers team for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Johns Creek.

Several students at Johns Creek High School have banded together to form a Relay for Life team called Lifesavers.

Twin sisters Jessica and Elizabeth Maksimik have formed a team with six of their
friends to participate at this year’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life Johns Creek, which will be held from 6 p.m. Friday May 2 to 6 a.m. Saturday, May 3 at Taylor Road Middle School.

"Everyone has been touched by cancer and it’s time to find a cure for this terrible disease," said essica Maksimik. "We relay in memory of our grandmother."

The team members have raised funds with donations from family and friends, and the group raised over $250 in a bake sale in the Falls of Autry Mill subdivision. They have a fundraising goal of $1,000.
