Johns Creek Teen Wins International Eco-Hero Award

Malcolm Barnard honored for helping Johns Creek earn Community Wildlife Habitat Certification.

Malcolm Barnard, 16, has won first place in the 2013 International Young Eco-Hero awards competition in the 12-16 age group.

Barnard was a driving force in helping Johns Creek earn Community Wildlife Habitat Certification.

He also volunteers with the Chattahoochee Nature Center and the National Park Service, and has developed an app that helps identify plant species.
