Event on Aug. 10 will provide supplies to hundreds of children.

With about a week before the start of a new school year in Johns Creek, North Fulton Community Charities needs the community's help for its 2013 Back to School Heath and Wellness Fair on Aug. 10.

To help with the organization's goal of providing some 1,400 children with school supplies, the community can donate new backpacks or supplies from its list, with priority items including protractors, composition books, pocket folders, notebooks, red pens, calculators, glue sticks and rulers.

NFCC is accepting donations through Aug. 5, which can be dropped off at 11270 Elkins Road, Roswell.
