Johns Creek Police to Take 'Polar Plunge'

Johns Creek Police officers will join other Georgia law enforcement agencies forSpecial Olympics Georgia's 2nd annual "Polar Plunge" fundraiser, Saturday, February 19, at Lake Lanier Islands Beach and Water Park.

That morning, Johns Creek Police officers will jump into the lake's icy waters in exchange for pledges they've collected between now and then from friends, family, and the community.

All donations received go directly to Special Olympics Georgia. You candonate any pledge amount to the JCPD's plunging efforts, or "plunge" yourself. Be sure to note on the application that you're "plunging" on behalf of the Johns Creek Police Department.

This is the second year that the JCPD has participated in the Polar Plunge, the largest fundraising effort for all Special Olympics organizations across the U.S.
