State Bridge Crossing Elementary Students Walk and Roll to School

Please join the students at State Bridge Crossing Elementary School in Johns Creek for Walk and Roll to School Day starting at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9th. Students are encouraged to form walking school buses or ride their bicycles to school in celebration of International Walk to School Day. Doc Broc and Nurse Blueberry, characters from Kaiser Permanente of Georgia's Educational Theatre Program, will be at the school to offer the kids encouragement as they make their way to school.

Walk and Roll to School Day at State Bridge Crossing also serves as the official kick-off for Fire Up Your Feet in metro Atlanta. The program encourages families, students and schools to work together to create active lifestyles for children. The Fire Up Your Feet website, metroatl.fireupyourfeet.org, offers a wide range of educational materials and resources promoting physical activity to and from school. Fire Up Your Feet and Walk and Roll to School Day are sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, National PTA and Safe Routes to School.
