Lutra Loop Trail Discovery Hike

Join the National Park Service and the Georgia Botanical Society for a late summer walk through the floodplain forest along the beautiful Chattahoochee River.

Our trail will take us past beautiful wildflowers, ferns, and native shrubs. Discover fascinating facts and a fable or two about American Indian and early settler uses of plants for food, medicine, and dye.

This area is an excellent site to observe wildlife and wildlife sign. This loop trail can be accessed anytime from the public parking lot at the Jones Bridge Unit.
