All New 2014 Home School Curriculum - delivered in a 4-hour program
Our all-new home school curriculum provides an exciting learning
experience developed to really engage students in the study of topics
combining environmental studies, nature, heritage, and science.
SECOND in series of new Home School classes
Monday, March 24th, 10am-2pm (bring a packed lunch and drink).
Focus is Plants and includes the following interactive learning activities:
- Interactive activities and experiments to understand the anatomy of plants.
- Hike to observe leaves and classify them as monocot or dicot and determine the age of trees.
- Seed Science - dissecting Monocotyledons and Dicotyledons
- Photosynthesis game and constructing a plant light maze
- Heritage lesson tied to theme and planting seeds in the Heritage garden.
For ages 6-11, Parents are not required to attend (but are
welcome to stay and enjoy the preserve).
$15 for members, $20 for non-members
REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
