On February 8th and 9th, 2013, Cumming First United Methodist Church will be hosting the Strong Marriage Weekend using the Prepare/Enrich Program.

Scientifically developed and designed to assess relationship growth areas, Prepare-Enrich will help couples preparing for their marriage to get off to a better start or couples married from 1 year to 50 years, enrich their marriage by helping:

  • Identify areas of strength & growth

  • Improve communication

  • Help resolve conflict

  • Deal with financial goals and budget

  • Discuss personal, couple and family goals

  • Show new ways to work on problems

  • Increase the vitality of your marriage

  • Ιmprove chances of a happy marriage

The weekend is a partnership with Cumming FUMC and the University of Georgia Family and Consumer Science Extension.  Facilitators for this weekend are Rev. Ken Hagler and Michele Melton.  Together, they have over 20 years of experience in leading couples through the Prepare-Enrich program.

Ken and his wife, Heather, recently celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary.  “The Prepare program helped Heather and I to identify topics we had not discussed before our wedding and gave us communication skills we still use today," said Ken.  Because of the inventories couples fill out, the weekend will be tailor made for each couple.

Registration and schedule for the weekend is available at www.strongmarriagescfumcga.com

You must register by February 3.  The seminar weekend is limited to 30 couples.

For additional questions or help navigating the registration process, call Rev. Ken Hagler,770.887.2900 ext 238
