The Community Resource Champion training is the first training conference that places everyday citizens beside researchers, scientists and economic professionals, talented leaders, business professionals and health care providers in a learning environment where everyone is equal. Many of our economic and health resources are often unknown and difficult to navigate. This session will reveal several tools for each individual to improve their community's health and economic disparities. The tools given to Community Resource Champions will allow them to distribute hundreds of health and economic improvements within our Fulton County neighborhoods, schools, faith-based organizations and companies. In conjunction with the Georgia State University, Center of Excellence in Health Disparities, we are hoping to successfully implement and evaluate the grassroots CRC training.
As a CRC, you
Will make a positive impact on thousands of lives in the community
Be a champion for health and wellness
Will be trained to provide a range of health-related information in their communities
Will be a mentor and develop leaders
Help community navigate about the importance of preventive health services
