Autrey Mill Middle School presents Willy Wonka Jr!

The sets are painted, the lines are memorized, the lights and sound in place.  The only thing missing is you!

The Fine Arts Department at Autrey Mill Middle School proudly presents “Willy Wonka Jr. based on the book “Charlie & the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl, adapted for the stage by Leslie Bricusse and Timothy A. McDonald.  Words and Music are by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley.

The play will be performed on Friday, November 15th at 7 PM and Saturday, November 16th at 2 PM and 7 PM on the AMMS stage.  A talented and devoted group of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students have worked diligently on the play since early September creating a musical that will be enjoyed by the entire family.

Willy Wonka Jr. is the story of Willy Wonka’s (Kevin Park) journey to find a new owner for his world famous chocolate factory.  To do this he announces a competition in which five golden tickets will be hidden among Wonka bars sold internationally.

The winners will get an opportunity to tour the mysterious Wonka factory and receive a lifetime supply of chocolate.  Charlie Bucket, (Evan Penn) is a poor boy who wants desperately to win the contest.  Each of the golden tickets is found by children leaving only one left.  Will Charlie be the lucky fifth winner?  And just what does Wonka really have in store for the winners when they arrive at his chocolate factory?
