9/11 Remembrance Event
The Rotary Club of Johns Creek – North Fulton will gather to remember and reflect upon the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks during a remembrance event held in Northview High School’s auditorium. The community is invited to the free event that will honor the service and sacrifices of first responders and military personnel.
The event, held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, will feature Lieutenant General Glenn F. Spears, USAF (retired), a Rotary Club member and Johns Creek resident who was the commander of the 89th Airlift Wing at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on Sept. 11, 2001. Spears will speak about his role as the operational and installation commander on Sept. 11, responsible for the safe airlift of President George W. Bush and other national leaders.

The remembrance event will also feature an appearance by the Johns Creek Veterans Association, the Wounded Warrior Foundation, the Johns Creek Fire and Police departments and local elected officials.
