Meet BUNNY! Bunny is an 8-month old Whippet/Sharpei mix pup who weighs 30 lbs, in a medium size, and a wonderful dog! She is spayed, microchipped, house-trained and crate-trained (no issues), and is up-to-date on all her shots and vetting.
This precious girl was part of a litter of pups born to a feral momma dog in North Georgia. Her siblings, unfortunately, didn't make it and Bunny was almost a casuality, as well, but her strong will to live and survive helped her beat all the bad odds. At some point before she was rescued and brought into the Angels Among Us Pet Rescue group, Bunny sustained an injury to her left eye while she and her litter were out in the wild. Although she requires eye drops to help her vision in that eye, she doesn't allow it to slow her down or keep her from playing, running, and enjoying life!
Bunny LOVES to take walks and hikes, but she's also a real "snuggle pup" with her humans! She adores kids and all other animals - heck, there's not much this sweet, bouncy girl doesn't like - toys, humans, dogs, cats, the outdoors! With her great medium size and super short hair, she's a breeze to take care of physically.
Due to Bunny's background and losing all of her family at such an early age, it does take her a bit of adjustment time with humans, and she needs just a bit of time to learn that they can be trusted, just like her wonderful foster family. She's also looking for a forever family who will take time with her to just do anything and everything. You see, this baby girl has a deep need to feel close, emotionally and physically, with a family she can give her heart and her complete trust to. We know she missed out on having that mom to raise her and missed out on growing up with her siblings, and it makes us sad to see the emotional scars it left on this precious soul. But if you love her, do things with her, and show her you're there for her for life, she will give you her heart and soul and will love you so deeply and be your best companion!
The ideal home for sweet Bunny would be a stable, loving home environment - with or without children. She would love to have another 4-legged companion or two to play and run and enjoy friendly games of tug-o-war with in the backyard and on the trail. She does love to explore, chase squirrels and even loves to swim!! She will need a fenced-in, secure gated backyard so she can play with her furry siblings and humans as much as possible.
