Beautiful Pekingese Looking for the Perfect Valentine!

Looking for the ideal "mate" for Valentine's Day? Then, look no further - we have just the right companion for you!

Meet LeiLei, a purebred Pegkinese female who's around 2 years old and weighs a mere 14 pounds - with a precious heart and eyes to just die for!  She is spayed, up-to-date on her vetting, shots and medicines.  She is also microchipped and ready to find her forever home and family.

We recently interviewed LeiLei about her search for the perfect Valentine, and this is what she shared with us about her story and what she's looking for in her family and forever home....
" Well, let's see - I want everyone to know that I am great with dogs and cats.  My foster mommy has a 'bully cat' and when he's aggravating me, I don't react aggressively to him, so I think you could call me a pretty laid-back kinda girl.

I can be sort of shy at first when meeting someone new - I don't mean to be, it's just my way until I get to know you a bit more - and so I might pull back just a bit if you try to pick me up.  But please don't think I don't like you, it just takes me a bit to settle in and not be intimidated by larger humans.  I really do love and want to be petted and cared for, it just takes me a bit of time to know it's okay to have you touch me.  I'm not really crazy about sudden movements because you see, I'm a little gal and big movements can be a bit scarey at times.  I'd far prefer to just come to you and check you out while you gently hold a treat in your hand that I can take once I know it's okay.

Although my foster mom says no children younger than 5 due to my size, I do want you to know that my perfect Valentine family would be one that would give me lots of belly rubs, kisses and let me be their lap baby forever!  Oh, and toys would be great....and lots of treats....did I mention treats, already?  I do love them but what I love most if having a family of humans, or even just 1 or 2 humans, who would allow me to just be me, and would let me be their constant companion to be loved on and adored - just the way I would do for them.  That would be the BEST Valentine's day gift EVER!  Love, LeiLie"

LeiLei was rescued from a local shelter where she was turned in as a stray.  Although she was chipped, her former owners never came looking for this precious little pup and it broke her heart!  She was extremely scared in the kennel and therefore unfairly labeled as "aggressive", but her foster Mom verifies that LeiLei doesn't have an aggressive bone in her little body.  One of her favorite things in the world, besides tummy rubs, is either laying spread out on a cool floor in the summer, or chasing her tail around to make her foster Mom laugh!  She isn't destructive in the home, can stay in her crate or be left out during the day.  If she is left out, she might have an accident in the home so she can either wear a belly band or be placed in a tiled area of the home.

LeiLei walks great on leash, loves to run in a fenced, secure yard and would love to have a smaller doggie companion to play with, but it isn't a requirement.  She doesn't require a stay at home human(s), but since Pekes love to cuddle and just be a companion dog to their owners, someone who works from home at least part of the time, or is retired, or a stay-at-home mom would be a great home for this loving ball of fluff and cuteness.
