A Young "Man" With A Hard Start in Life Is Searching for A Forever Home

Looking to Provide a Warm Home and Lap for A Grateful, Loving Pet? We have just the perfect one to warm your heart and home!

Meet Damien, an Orange Tabby, domestic long hair cat with incredibly rich coloring.  This wonderful feline boy is looking for a warm heart and an equally warm lap to curl up in forever!

Let me tell you Damien's story:
Damien is approximately 6 months old, weighs in at 6 pounds but is still growing - he will probably end up weighing around 8-9 lbs., full grown.  He is neutered, litterbox-trained, is fully vetted, chipped, and up to date on all his shots.

To see Damien now, you would never guess he he started life in to a rural high-kill shelter with his baby brother - both covered with fleas, head to tail, and at the point of severe anemia due to flea bites.  His precious baby brother died before Angels Among Us Cats Team could reach the shelter.  Little Damien spent his 1st night in an oxygen tank, receiving a blood transfusion in order to live.  Again, he almost died during a medical bath to remove all the remaining fleas and flea dirt so they had to stop the process so he wouldnt pass away.

At that point, he was lifeless and at the point of death; however, the transfusion process gave him that 2nd chance at making it and with the help of a great vet team and incredible Angels foster moms, Damien made his turn for the better and is now a very healthy boy, full of life and ready to make the world his playpen!

Damien is great with humans of all sorts and sizes - he loves being around other kitties and cat-friendly dogs.  Now, he is a bit on the wary side with new cats or dogs in the beggining but it only takes him a few minutes to decide they are OKAY in his book, and that it's a good thing to rum up against them in a loving way.  He would be an excellent kitty for children, as he is patient and loving and very into his "humans".

This boy also loves to play with his toys and anyone else who's around and ready for playtime!  He likes to climb cat trees and poles - and if his people are okay with it, he also likes to jump over and climb up to give you a nice rub and purr against your neck and the sides of your face.  This boy's a true lover, and is extremely affectionate.  Damien would make the perfect lap kitty for some very lucky person or family.  His fosters totally adore him and know he's make an excellent companion feline for just the right home!

The ideal home for Damien would be a family - doesn't matter if it's just one person or a full household - this boy wants to "belong" and be an active part of the family and home that adopts him.  He longs for and craves attention and if it is with just 1, or an active household, what he really wants is attention and to know he's a part of that home forever.  He would appreciate not having dogs in his new family who would bark and pester and chase him, but the most vital thing Damien wants is an inviting, warm lap to call his own when it's nap time!

Do you have a lap, a home and a heart this boy could call his own?  If you are interested in meeting Damien or considering adopting him, please send an email to "Cats@angelsrescue.org".  Also, please take a few moments to go to their website at www.angelsrescue.org/adopt and check out all the animals up for adoption through Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.  Also, please visit and "like" our Angels Cats Facebook page at www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.cats.

And please help us curb the unwanted cat and dog populations by spaying and neutering your pets.  Thank you.
