Elections: Johns Creek Candidate Forum Set for Oct. 23

On Nov. 5, Johns Creek voters will head to the polls to elect four candidates to fill the mayor's seat and three council seats.

To help introduce voters to the candidates, the Johns Creek High School PTSA is holding its 4th Annual Voter Information Night and Candidate Forum scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. in the school's auditorium. The event is free.

"Our goal is to inform citizens on the issues in as balanced a way as possible," said Leslie Fox, Johns Creek High School PTSA Co-President. 

On hand will be incumbents, Mayor Mike Bodker, Council members, Randall Johnson (Post 1), Karen Richardson (Post 3) and Kelly Stewart (Post 5).

Also attending will be candidates Bev Miller (Mayor) Leonard Zaprowski (Post 1), Nancy Reinecke and Cori Davenport (Post 3). Stewart is running unopposed.

During the Q&A portion, candidates have the opportunity to present their vision and priorities for the City of Johns Creek. Russ Spencer, Fox 5 News anchor will serve as moderator.

The event will begin with a meet-and-greet session from 6:30 - 7 p.m. in the auditorium lobby. Local candidates will have tables with literature, yard signs and bumper stickers. The event will end with another opportunity to meet the candidates from 9-9:30 p.m.

Johns Creek High School is located at 5575 State Bridge Road, Johns Creek, 30022.
