Water Line Break Affects Newtown Park Area

Multiple homes and businesses could be without water until about 6 p.m.

UPDATE, Tuesday, 4:30 p.m.: The Fulton County Water Department reports that the water line break at Old Alabama and Ivey Ridge Lane in Johns Creek has been repaired, and water has been restored to all of the affected homes and businesses.

The City of Johns Creek has sent out an alert that the Fulton County Water Department is repairing a cut water line on Old Alabama Road at Ivey Ridge Lane that could leave multiple Johns Creek subdivisions and businesses without water until about 6 p.m. tonight.   

The water interruption occurred about 2:45 p.m. when a contractor accidentally severed a service line on Old Alabama Road between Brumbelow and Nesbit Ferry roads.

Repairs are not expected to affect traffic.
