The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has identified Don Hershall Hall, 45, Cumming, and David Jason Schorr, 40, , Cumming, as the two people killed in Thursday night's plane crash on Lanier Drive. Hall was the pilot of the plane. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to multiple 911 calls, the plane went down around 7:45 p.m. Thursday on Lanier Drive near the intersection of Bamby Drive and only yards away from Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church. .

Lesley Lynn Fanning of Dacula was arrested and charged with attempting to bring a concealed weapon into the Gwinnett Justice Administration Center in Lawrenceville Wednesday, Sept. 12, according to an incident report filed by the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department.

The handgun was discovered in her purse or laptop computer bag about 1:45 p.m. as it was going through X-ray screening at the entrance to the courthouse by Gwnnett Sheriff's Deputy Jimmy Melancon. The gun and 10 rounds of ammunition were confiscated after other deputies arrived on the scene. Mrs. Fanning was charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and carrying a weapon into a public gathering place. .

Police have identified the man killed in an as Victor Charles Le, 20, of 2850 Southgate Drive in unincorporated Lilburn.
Le was pronounced dead at the scene of a nearby residence after Gwinnett County officers responded to a call on Sept. 12. The 911 call reported a male armed with a gun, threatening to commit a robbery. WSB has reported the incident involved a domestic argument. The gun in Le's possession was later identified as a black bb gun. .

Gerald Rose, the leader of the human rights group that planned a press conference at a Marietta bar known for its controversial signs, is now planning a sit-in at the bar on Sept. 22 at 3 p.m.

The teenager who was arrested for stealing flags last week throughout Towne Lake apologized to the Towne Lake Optimist Club for his actions.
Club President Matt Halloran said the 16-year-old, accompanied by his mother, expressed his feelings to the club during its lunch meeting on Wednesday.
Halloran said the teen told the audience he "was bored that day and that he didn't realize the impact of his actions." He added the teen got "very emotional" as he talked to the members of the club. "It took a lot of courage to get up and say something like that," Halloran added.
The last Friday nine flags had been stolen throughout Towne Lake. At the request of the club, Halloran said charges against the teen will be dropped. .
