NEWS NEARBY: Fatal Wreck in Canton; Map Indicates 15 Child Sex Offenders

Last week, Sandy Springs Police arrested , a maintenance worker at Azalea Park Apartments, for exposing himself to children from a vacant unit as they walked by, on their way to school. If convicted, Arriola-Lobo would be one of at least 16 sex offenders in Sandy Springs, according to the Georgia Sex Offenders Map.

The map lists convicted offenders, their crimes, conviction dates, and dates of the last residential check. Several offenders show addresses in the proximity of Roswell Road. .

- Canton-Sixes Patch

One person died Tuesday night and four others were taken to  for various injuries after a head-on collision on Bells Ferry and Butterworth roads.

When crews from and the arrived on the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, the 29-year-old driver of a Pontiac Grand Prix involved in the accident was trapped, two other male occupants had neck, hip and back pains, and one had a knot on his head, Cherokee Fire spokesman Tim Cavender said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. .

- Acworth Patch

An inmate at the was found dead Saturday morning and the case is being investigated, according to the Acworth Police Department.

An officer noticed an unresponsive white male lying on his bed inside his cell at about 7:30 a.m., and discovered that the man had died. .

- Alpharetta-Milton Patch

A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a carjacking and a separate armed robbery n Alpharetta last week, and on car theft and gun theft charges in Forsyth County.

The armed robbery took place at , a Windward Parkway business, on Aug. 17 at 12:49 p.m., according to George Gordon, spokesperson for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety. The carjacking took place in the parking lot of a local mall on Aug. 17 at 8:40 p.m. .
