Plane Bound for McCollum Lands on I-575 - Kennesaw Patch

A plane bound for McCollum Field had to make an emergency landing this afternoon on Interstate 575 South just south of Barrett Parkway. Three people were aboard the plane, a fixed wing single-engine aircraft that is registered to Jesse Smalley of Kennesaw, according to the Federal Aviation Administration Registry.

"No injuries on the ground and no injuries in the aircraft," Officer Mike Bowman, spokesman for the Cobb County Police Department, told Kennesaw Patch. .
