More Rain Possible This Week, Sunny Skies by Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend's heavy rain moves out of Johns Creek, making way for mostly sunny skies by the weekend.

After yet another weekend filled with flood warnings and event cancellations throughout the metro area, Johns Creek is in for some sunny skies early this week and this Memorial Day weekend, though rain will be likely on Wednesday.

The threat of inclement weather this past weekend forced the cancellation of the city's Touch-a-Truck event, while Parsons Road was temporarily shut down due to a downed tree. Touch-A-Truck has been rescheduled for Sept. 21, and Parsons Raod is now re-opened.

Meanwhile, according to the National Weather Service, Big Creek remains above flood stage, affecting some yards in North Fulton and Forsyth counties. The creek was expected to fall below flood stage by early Tuesday. The Big Creek Greenway is closed due to flooding.
