Alleged Milo's Shooter Is a Convicted Felon - Marietta Patch

Dennis Lee Hampton, the man who allegedly shot a Sandy Springs man early Sunday morning at Milo’s Bar and Grill, should have never had a gun.

According to new information contained in a Cobb County criminal warrant, the Marietta man was convicted Feb. 24, 2000, of aggravated assault, a felony.

Man Charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child - Athens Patch

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation provided information to the Athens-Clarke County Police Department through Operation Guardian Innocence.

A Lawrenceville woman who allegedly left her 18-month-old son at a Smyrna apartment complex last Wednesday and never came to pick him up at the designated time because she was arrested on a prostitution charge in Atlanta faces a new charge in Cobb County.

Laura Marie Robbins was arrested Tuesday in Cobb on a charge of contributing to the deprivation fo a minor, according to online jail records. Smyrna-Vinings Patch has more on this story.

Second Suspect in East Cobb Robbery Arrested - East Cobb Patch

The second suspect who allegedly used an electronic stun device to incapacitate a man he lured to an East Cobb apartment complex under the guise of a cash vehicle purchase has been arrested.

Duluth College Prep Academy Officials Indicted on Immigration Fraud Charges - Duluth Patch

The head of College Prep Academy in Duluth and other school officials have been indicted on charges of conspiring to bring illegal aliens into the country and issuing them fraudulent immigration documents. 

Dong Seok Yi, 52, of Duluth, president and CEO of the English language school named College Prep Academy, was charged with conspiracy and making false statements in immigration documents, according to U.S. Attorney Yates, the charges and other information presented in U.S. District Court in Atlanta. Yi owns the Korean Times Atlanta, a local newspaper.

Also indicted were Sook An Kil, a/k/a Stacy Kil, 41, of Duluth, academic coordinator for CPA; Chang Seon Song, 51, of Suwanee, the school’s academic director; and Sang Houn Kim a/k/a Chris Park, 53, of Diamond Bar, CA. Duluth Patch has more on this story.
