Verizon Wireless Exec to Speak at N. Fulton Chamber

The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce invites the business community – members and non-members – to its monthly breakfast.

Wondering what all of those Verizon Wireless employees are doing at all those office campuses in North Fulton? Make your reservation for the  Eggs & Enterprise Breakfast on June 28 and you can ask.

Jeff Mango, president of the Georgia/Alabama Region for Verizon Wireless will be the keynote speaker at the 7:30 a.m. breakfast event at  off Windward Parkway.

Mango oversees more than 1,600 employees as well as the sales and operations, marketing, distribution, customer service and financial results for the two-state area. The Georgia/Alabama Region is headquartered here and is part of the company's South Area, also headquartered here.

Mango began his career in the wireless industry in 1994 as a retail sales representative. Since then he has held a variety of positions in sales management including Regional Director at Bell Atlantic in Philadelphia. When Verizon Wireless was formed in 2000, Mango was named the director of Retail Sales for the Georgia/Alabama Region, where he oversaw the sales and operations for the two states. After holing postios with the New York Metro Region and the Mountain Region, he returned to Georgia as the president.

Bring any old wireless phones, batteries and accessories to the breakfast, which will serve as a collection point for HopeLine, the Verizon Wireless program that turns unused wireless phones into support for victims of domestic violence.
