While the economy has struggled and full-time positions have become harder to find, employers have been busy hiring part-time workers. Whether you're looking for the flexibility of a part-time schedule or just to bring in extra money, there are thousands ofpart-time jobs available now. Here are the 10 companies with the most part-time positions posted this week on CareerBuilder (an AOL Jobs' sponsor):

1. Liberty Tax Services: 5,247 part-time openings.

Founded in 1997, Liberty Tax Services targets low-income workers and small businesses. There are a total of 3,500 Liberty Tax franchises throughout the world. And according to the company's website, the initial fee for starting a franchise is $40,000.

Employee Review: "[Liberty Tax] is great for beginning a tax career or even to see if accounting is for you."*

2. Macy's: 3,600 part-time openings.

The iconic department store is going strong after over 150 years of business, selling mid-price to high-end brands at some 800 locations across the country. Its headquarters are in Cincinnati, Ohio, but its flagship store is in the heart of Manhattan, N.Y.

Employee Review: "The discount (20%) on items is nice and they're good about working with your schedule if you're part-time. I had another job at the time, so they delivered on their promise of only scheduling me for 19 hours each week and only 4 days a week."*

3. MarketSource Jobs: 3,601 part-time openings.

The Alpharetta, Georgia-based sales and marketing company provides services to over 200 companies worldwide. The companies offers assisted sales, outsourced sales, training and advocacy and marketing advantage solutions.

4. United Health Group Jobs: 1,792 part-time openings.
UnitedHealth Group currently provides health insurance services to more than 75 million people worldwide and is the largest insurance company of its kind in the U.S. With the onset of states' participation in the Affordable Care Act, the Minnesota-based insurer "has remained especially vague on the number of systems in would participate in," says The Motley Fool, "placing the number somewhere between 10 and 25."

Employee Review: "Good, steady work. Great learning opportunities. Very little favoritism, you get ahead based on your own work. Work at home opportunities help on commuting costs. Great work-life balance, ample vacation time."*

4. Vector Marketing: 1,479 part-time openings.

Vector Marketing of Olean, N.Y., is the domestic sales arm of the cutlery company, Cutco, which sells knives and other implements nationwide. Vector offers part-time, full-time and temporary sales jobs, including summer work, and says that experience in sales isn't required.

Employee Review: "The pay, flexibility, environment were all outstanding."*

5. Acosta Sales & Marketing: 1,360 part-time openings. 

This food-focused sales and marketing company has grown enormously over the last few decades, from its Jacksonville, Fl. home into a nationwide chain in almost every major city with over 30,000 employees. Associates complain that there's little room for personal ladder-climbing, but rave about the flexible hours.

Employee Review: "Independence. Working without supervision. Flexibility schedule. Ability to pick up extra hours/projects.... Good 401k match."*

6. Bon Secours Health System865 part-time openings.

The not-for profit health care organization is sponsored by the Bon Secours Roman Catholic ministries. Based out of Marriottsville, Maryland, Bon Secours hospitals house a total of 4,400 licensed acute-care beds in developing countries like Peru.

Employee Review: "The possibilities for advancement are good, but work-life balance is terrible when you're abroad; my family never sees me and the stress is high."*

7. AT&T Retail : 819 part-time openings. 

Wireless giant AT&T continues to hire in large volumes, as many customers upgrade their smartphones and purchase tablets that require LTE data plans. It recently announced that it will be adding more wireless subscribers than expected.

8. Bayada Home Health Care: 761 part-time openings.

Bayada provides nursing, therapy, hospice and other kinds of health care in the home. The health care company serves 25 states and is headquartered in Moorestown, N.J.

9. Firestone Complete Auto: 749 part-time openings. 

Firestone Complete Auto Care is a car maintenance chain that's part of one of the oldest American tire companies. There are more than 1,600 locations nationwide that, along with selling and servicing tires, also do repairs and other kinds of work on cars.

Manager Review: "Higher than average compensation for retail, good camaraderie with co workers. Nice working for large company that you know will be there tomorrow."*

10. Murphy USA: 738 part-time openings.

Murphy USA is a subsidiary of the Murphy Oil Corporation, an international oil and gas company. Based in El Dorado, Ark., the petroleum company's main function is to market high-volume, low-cost gasoline in the United States. Murphy USA-branded gasoline stations can be found in 23 states at Walmart Supercenters and Murphy Express locations.
