Northview Student is Athlete of the Month

North Fulton Chamber names Austin Webster female athlete of month.

The Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce has named Austin Webster of Northview High School its Female Student-Athlete of the Month for May.

According to a press release, "Austin plays lacrosse on a team that went 10-0 to win their region and went 16-5 overall. She received the Most Valuable Player Award as well as being a US Lacrosse Academic All-American in 2013.  Academically she is in the top 5 in her class with a GPA over 4.0. Outside the classroom she has worked with the David Adair Mission Project, has served at the Trinity Soup Kitchen and will be traveling to Haiti to work with hospitals and orphanages."

The chamber named Nate Reich of Milton High its male Male Student-Athlete of the Month for May.

The press release states, "Nate runs track and cross country at Milton High School. He is a four-time letter winner in both sports and holds school records in the mile, 800 meters, cross country and in the 4 by 1600 meter. He is a team captain and qualified for the Track and Field High School National Championship.

"When Nate was 10 years old he suffered a traumatic brain injury that affected the use of the right side of his body and his reading comprehension. After being told he would never regain full use of his right arm and leg, he was able to make a miraculous recovery. Now he speaks for Children’s Hospital of Atlanta in support of the Children’s Miracle Network."
