New Movie Experience Coming to Duluth

Studio Movie Grill (SMG) is planning to open its newest theater in nearby Duluth in early November at 3850 Venture Drive and offer its patrons first-run movies and an exceptional movie-going experience. $1 tickets for movies will be available opening weekend.

The 10-screen upscale theatre will feature spacious, comfortable stadium seating, an extensive American grill menu, and individual dining tables, according to a press release announcing the opening. The menu will offer more than 100 food and beverage choices.

A full-service bar, lounge, and lobby will provide theater-goers an opportunity to unwind before and after the movie. Reserved seating, online purchasing options and multiple-price tickets will be available.

Movies will be shown using state-of-the-art Dolby Digital technology and 3D. The menu will offer more than 100 food and beverage options. Menu prices range from $4.25 to $16.25.

The bar serves draft beers, premium wines and more than 15 specialty cocktails including the infamous SMG Skinny Tea. Special promotions will include Margarita Mondays and Beer N’ Burger Tuesdays.

In addition to its first-run showings, SMG’s alternate programming will present specialized series and documentaries, sports, concerts, family programming, and monthly screenings for special needs children and their families. Ticket prices for these events start as low as $1.
