Johns Creek Borders to Close Next Month

Borders on Peachtree Parkway among stores closing as company files for bankruptcy.

The Peachtree Parkway Borders location is one of the stores closing as the company announced earlier this week it was filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

Yesterday was the final day for the coffee shop inside, and a closing sale will start Saturday for the store located in the Johns Creek Town Center shopping plaza.

Borders Group Inc. filed for protection this week after suffering years of sharp sales declines. The company has been unable to develop a strong online presence, nor has it significantly entered the digital book market.
