Free & Cheap Activities for Kids This Weekend

Here are 5 places to take the kids this weekend without hurting your pocketbook.

Keeping the kids busy and happy can sometimes get expensive. Thankfully there are some businesses in the Johns Creek area ready to help occupy the kids and let them get creative. There are activities and events happening this weekend that the kids are sure to love and the best part is that these are free, or close to free. 

1.

Deal: Kids can come and make a T-shirt tote bag between 1 and 3 p.m. or a yarn doll from 3 to 5 p.m. at Michaels on Saturday. For more information, see their website.

Deal: On Saturday and Sunday, families can come to the movies and seeBarbie, A Mermaid Tale 2 on the big screen for $2 per person. The show starts at 11 a.m.

Deal: Girls age 8 and up can come to the store on Sunday to make a free craft card based on the Josephina doll. The activity is available between 1 and 3 p.m.

5. Duct Tape Class at School Place

Deal: Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.,the store will be having a duct tape class for kids. The event is free and kids can bring their own roll or buy some at the store. For more information, see the website.
