Empty Store Fronts: What Would You Like to See Here
The North Bridges shopping center, once a major shopping area, now has 12 empty store fronts.
Not too many years ago North Bridges shopping center was a thriving mecca for shopping and dining.
But the retail center on the corner of Jones Bridge and State Bridge roads has taken a hit in recent years.
The Great Recession coupled with competing shopping center space nearby has left the center with 12 empty store fronts. Steinmart and Ace Hardware once anchored the popular shopping spot.
Now Goodwill has taken over the Steinmart space and Ace Hardware has relocated to another spot on Jones Bridge Road. Recently an Aldi grocery store moved in the old hardware location.
What kind of shops would you like to see move into this space? Another clothing store, maybe another restaurant?
