Beer Growler To Open Johns Creek Franchise

Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Suwanee, Sandy Springs and Brookhaven will soon have Beer Growler shops.

is expanding deeper into the Atlanta suburbs.

Beer Growler franchises are expected to open by the end of July in Brookhaven at 1400 Dresden Road and in Suwanee at 4140 Moore Road.

And by the of the summer, franchises should open in Sandy Springs, Alpharetta and Johns Creek, Denny Young, one of the co-owners, said recently at the Beer Growler store in Avondale Estates.

Young said he and the other owners want the franchises to look something like the shop in Avondale Estates, but their big concern is maintaining product quality.

"Nobody will be selling Bud Lite in these stores," he said.

The shops will only sell growlers – 32- and 64-ounce glass jugs used to transport draft beer for off premises consumption. They won't sell wine or six-packs of beer.

Another local beer store is also expanding.

Creative Loafing reported that the Ale Yeah! craft beer market in Decatur will soon open a second shop in Roswell.

Roswell has several very attractive features: excellent potential customer base, great traffic counts, a centric launching point for the outside-the-perimeter-market that is currently not being tapped (pun totally intended), as well as its proximity to major highways such as 400 and 285.
