Art for the Arts! Fundraiser Debuts Today

A portion of proceeds will benefit JC Symphony.

Art lovers will not only have the chance to purchase unique and original hand-painted oils, but they will also be benefiting the local symphony when a 30-day art sale comes to Johns Creek on June 16.

Tom Daniel, a renowned international art dealer and owner of Sebastian Thomas Designs, is collaborating with Penn Hodge of Penn Hodge Properties and his space, Gallery Events, 10700 State Bridge Road, as the place to showcase an exceptional collection of hand-painted original oils on sale to the public.

Daniel will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra. Collaborating with Daniel in this endeavor is Sia Moshk, restaurateur and former owner of Sia’s, along with Tom Matthews of Transamerica Financial Services.

Said Daniel, “I love the arts, I have a passion for the arts and am committed to promoting and assisting artists in any way I can.”

But this is no ordinary gallery sale. Out on the front entrance, visitors will see a tent with signage and artwork that will guide them to the gallery locale.

Once inside, visitors will have the opportunity to view international award-winning artists as they paint, meet them and see some of their portfolios.

Special events will take place at different times on the weekends during the June and July sale. “The goal is to sell paintings, therefore the price points are affordable and a substantial savings in today’s market,” Daniel said. “And we will also provide top-of-the-line frames which can be purchased separately, at significantly reduced rates.”

Sebastian Thomas Designs has long provided art for the homes of many celebrities, musicians and personalities throughout the United States. Daniel has traveled extensively throughout China, Korea, Japan, Italy, Spain and Russia meeting and developing personal relationships with the artists with whom he commissions to do these paintings, all one-of-a-kind signed originals.

The public will have the opportunity to attend the official launch of this fundraiser with a special gallery viewing party and reception on Thursday, June 16, from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is free. Background music will be provided by members of the Alan Knieter Orchestra. Champagne and wine to sip while browsing the gallery will be available for purchase.

Art for the Arts! will be located at Gallery Events, 10700 State Bridge Road, Johns Creek, from June 16 to July 16. For additional information, email trdaniel@msn.com.
