A Favorite Restaurant Transforms into Ray's on the Creek

The building's design, inside and out, and the menu are being revamped.

After almost 15 years of business, Ray's on Killer Creek is renovating the entire restaurant with an updated design and fresh new food choice. Not only the building and menu are getting an update – the restaurant is also debuting a new name, Ray's on the Creek.

While the final touches will be completed in January, transformations are already evident both inside and outside of the restaurant, the restaurant's founder, Raymond Schoenbaum, said. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with new signs displaying a more prominent Ray’s logo, leading to a brighter interior with a new coastal inspired blue façade and a completely revamped bar. To celebrate these significant changes, Ray’s on the Creek is hosting a grand reopening party in January.

The restaurant recently launched a new dinner menu, featuring a wide selection of dishes under $30 and more sharable plates, and is also offering a new lunch menu with most dishes and sandwiches under $20.

“I want to create a fun and lively atmosphere at Ray’s on the Creek, making it a place diners can visit more often, not just on special occasions,” said founder Raymond Schoenbaum.  “Expect about half of the menu to be completely new and the other half to consist of Ray’s dishes that are customer favorites.”

Executive chefs and sous chefs from all three Ray’s Restaurants, including Ray’s on the Creek’s own Executive Chef Tracey Bloom, were asked to create new and original items. To ensure all new dish additions would be well-received, guests were able to sample the cuisine and provide feedback directly to the restaurant. The highest rated dishes were unveiled on the menu this month.
