Are you a family looking for fun yet inexpensive things to do with your kids? A local mom has you covered!

Becky Samford is the publisher of Macaroni Kid, a free weekly newsletter and website (http://duluth.macaronikid.com) highlighting great things for kids and their families to do in Duluth, Norcross, John's Creek, Peachtree Corners and the surrounding communities.

The site is quickly becoming the "go-to source" for all things kid-friendly on the north east side of Atlanta. For no cost, families can have information about local events and activities delivered straight to their inboxes each week. They also  feature parent resources such as a Preschool Directory and a Summer Camp Directory.

“As a mom myself, I’ve always been interested in finding fun, local activities to do with my own children" she says. "The north east side of town is  bursting with family-friendly events and attractions. I try really hard to list everything I can find that is free or low-cost to families.

From birth to teens, Macaroni Kid covers the spectrum of things to do -- shows, events, cooking projects, book reviews, arts and crafts, parenting articles and a reader favorite – giveaways! Giveaways have included tickets to some of the hottest shows and performances in town, including some great "Date Night" events for moms and dads.

One of the best things about Macaroni Kid is it's completely free and many of the event and activity listings are free or low-cost. The website has a helpful tool called "My Macaroni" which allows parents to "bookmark" the event listings they're interested in each week, and helping them to better plan and keep track of those fun and enriching activities.

“I’m extremely excited to have brought Macaroni Kid to our community and look forward to the opportunity to support the many cultural, not-for-profit, school-related and just plain fun things there are to do on this side of town," Becky says.

Parents can sign up to receive the free weekly newsletter by visiting http://duluth.macaronikid.com/subscribe. In addition to events in our local communities, the newsletter and website brings reviews and insights about events and activities in the greater Atlanta area.
