Shout Before the Symphony in Atlanta

Last week I had the good fortune to see The Tenors at Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta. My husband took the day off and I worked half the day so we could beat the traffic into the "city"( which by the way- no one calls Atlanta- after all this is a far cry from New York). We drove into Midtown and explored the area, not wanted to park too early.
We stumbled upon the Gay Rights demonstration going on on 10th street and then proceeded to Shout. This is part of a chain of restaurants here in the ATL and, frankly, we've eaten here before for the convenience and location.
With plenty to spare, we sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender, Kasey. A very knowledgeable and great Mixologist!. He made my martini with ease and plenty of olives. Yummy. Deciding where to go for dinner after drinks we noticed a plate of Sushi appear in front of another man at the bar. It looked so appetizing. We looked over the sushi menu thinking , OK a snack before deciding where to dine. Duh, why not just have the Sushi?
We ordered the lobster roll with mango and the shrimp tempura roll. Both were outstanding.
If you are guessing that we went to dine in another restaurant, fugetaboutit! We stayed put and enjoyed the rest of the evening at the bar until show time.
Shout has a full service menu, great staff and its a fun place- not to mention the proximity to Symphony Hall, The High Museum, 14th Street Theater, etc.
Try the bar scene there and tell Kasey Barbara- the Food Snob sent you!!!
