What Do You Do On Your Day Off?

One day off a week is not enough to keep up with my house, blog, friends, Facebook, words with friends and all. Feeling like I've been absent from Patch too long.

As you all know, I am a travel specialist for AAA Travel. Not only am I an experienced world traveler, but a blogger for Patch as well. I must apologize to my loyal readers for placing my blog and food reviews on the back burner for the past few weeks.

Today, Sunday, is my day off. What do you do on your day off? Let me tell you my day so far.

I slept in, waking up at 9:20 this morning  meaning I am exhausted and really need to sleep late) turned the matress on our bed, changed the linens, did laundry, three loads since I had the linens, went to Macy's at Northpoint (thank you Macy's for never having the air conditioning on in your store. You're saving me a fortune), made hard boiled eggs for the week, went to Publix- which is a Sunday ritual these days, came home, put the food away and made a sampling of dishes for the week ahead.

This is my relaxing day off. It's only 3:00 and I feel like I've put a weeks worth of planning into this one day. Does anyone else feel the same way?

If you're wondering, since this is a food blog and restaurant review for local eateries, why I haven't had a chance to do a new restaurant review, its because my days are filled with an overload of chores. I'm not complaining because during the week I am the luckiest person on the planet. I go to a job that I absolutely love and feel guilty calling what I do work. I am however, feeling like I need a vacation from the other stuff I do all week.

If anyone has any recommendations for new and interesting places for me to review, I welcome the names and address of your favorites. I would enjoy hearing about any new places in Alpharetta, Johns Creek or Roswell since my time is pretty limited these days.

If you have friends who have just opened a new place or anyone just wanting a boost in business, let me know and I'll be happy to review them. I'm kinda well know in the area!

To my loyal readers, I hope your weekend was a blend of tranquility, relaxation and great food. I am looking ahead to some of that next weekend, when I actually have 3 days off!

Happy reading.
