The Food Snob has another great little eatery!

Wildflour, another great eatery from the Food Snob

Last week my daughter and I had a few hours to spend doing the usual girlie things and what did we do? That's right, we ate!

We discovered Wildflour, a small restaurant on Windward Parkway at North Point. I had been told about this cute place, but had not had the chance to try it. Well, am I happy I did.

Jane and I enjoyed the smiling face of the owner, Michael, as he proudly told us his concept. We ordered two delicious sandwiches. Jane also ordered the soup of the day, tomato basil. My sandwich, called the Seinfeld, was chock full of pork and his famous mushroom combo. OMG!!! Outrageous sandwich. The flavors mixed together made it one of the tastiest pork sandwiches I ever had. The meat was soft and juicy without being overly porky! (Is that even a word?)

Jane's veretable sandwich was made up of the same mushroom combination along with melted cheese. Another amazing combo. She commented that "this may be the best sandwich I ever had."

All in all this cute little place was a huge hit.

I highly recommend Wildflour for anyone looking for that little extra zing that we often find in-town and not in the burbs.

Please stop in and say hello to Michael. They are opened Monday-Friday 11-3 and closed on Saturday and Sunday. Tell him the Food Snob, Barbara Diener sent you.
