Ten Bistro is a 10 !!!!

Ten Bistro offers fabulous selections and a new concept in dining. Friendly owner, Jesse Kauffman, makes you feel welcome in this lively new restaurant.

Yesterday was a celebration of Flag Day which was June 14. No, not really, but my friend, who shall remain nameless, celebrated her birthday as Flag Day. There are no more birthday celebrations after a certain number in our world.

With our menus in hand we searched the fabulous selections of Ten Bistro. This new and charming restaurant on Medlock Bridge Road, just before the Forum, is a delight. We ladies love to find places that are interesting and fun. This one was a good choice by Eve.

Jesse Kauffman, the owner of the restaurant, sits with us for a while to take a load off his feet. He is welcomed to our table as one of our newest friends.

The menu Jesse has created is chock full of delicious salads, sandwiches and other flare. This includes a dinner menu as well. Oh, by the way, they are open in the evenings after 10 for desserts and coffee. Amazing to me that we have a place to go after 9! Love that.

Jesse's friendly nature sets the tone for Ten Bistro. His mother, who has created some of the menus most delicious desserts, comes over to say hello, too.Β  She is wonderful, friendly and by all counts, proud of her son for sure. Like a mother lion, watching over her den, she tells us about how she came to be in Atlanta, via Miami, and how happy she is to be with her family.

It is obvious to me that every thought that went into opening this restaurant was completely about what the customer would want. The daily specials are those from friends in the area and are featured as menu selections. Good idea. The dessert they generously brought to the table is an interesting Brazilian treat from Jesse's days on the beach there. It is a dense tapioca pudding covered in coconut and served with raspberry sauce. "I'm not eating that sauce," because I don't put fruit on my dessert. Chocolate maybe, but never fruit! It was spectacular. Yummy is my best description.

I would love to see this restaurant succeed as it seems like a great neighborhood comfort spot.

Have a go and let me know what you all think.

Bye for now,

Babs
