During their first week back to school, students in the Writer's Workshop at Dolvin Elementary in Johns Creek were paid a penny for their thoughts.
The young writers were paid a penny to write about their thoughts on the penny. The students wrote a variety of fiction, fantasies, legends, raps, non-fiction, poems and parodies.
After sharing their writing, the students reflected on how they could write interesting stories about a simple penny.
