PLAYMAKING (ages 6-14)
Students will work together to adapt a well-known children's book or fairy tale into an original play. Using theatre games, acting and vocal exercises, and character-building creative play we'll work together to write, rehearse, and stage our own show. It starts with a story but who knows where it will go?
Tuesdays, 5-6 pm

IMPROVISATION (ages 6-14)
Learn how to think on your feet and perform as an ensemble without the safety net of a script! Improv is a valuable tool for every performer because anything can happen during a live performance and you have to be prepared. Students will learn the "rules" of improv and practice them using fun games and activities!

In addition to the concepts and activities listed above we will also focus on positive character traits each week such as respect, kindness, leadership, and generosity. Games and exercises will be used to promote physical and spatial awareness, teamwork and confidence.
