JCHS Orchestra Spring Concert

The Johns Creek High School Orchestra Spring Concert will take place on Tuesday, May 1, at 7 p.m. in the Johns Creek High School Auditorium. This concert will feature both the JCHS Philharmonia and Sinfonia orchestras. Some of the musical selections include Overture to the Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, Carmen Suite No.2 by Bizet, and themes from the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. Four senior violinists will also perform Concerto for Four Violins in B Minor by Vivaldi. Admission is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served afterwards 

The Johns Creek High School Philharmonia Orchestra, only in its third year, has been selected to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic, an International Band and Orchestra Conference in Chicago. The Midwest Clinic is the largest music education conference in the world and is considered to be the most prestigious concert venue for school, adult and community ensembles and military bands. Last year, the Johns Creek High School Orchestra performed at the GMEA In-Service Conference in Savannah, GA as the featured orchestra.
