Atlanta Ballet to Perform in Johns Creek

Perimeter Church's Academy of the Arts will collaborate with Atlanta Ballet in 'Coppelia.'

Academy of the Arts will be joined by Atlanta Ballet performers to present “Coppelia”, one of the classic ballet comedies, March 9 through March 11 at Perimeter Church.

Coppelia is an entertaining story of love, laughter and mistaken identity perfect for the entire family.

Five apprentices and fellowship students from the Atlanta Ballet will be joining the cast. These talented young men have traveled from as far away as Brazil, Colombia and even Australia to make Atlanta their home in order to train and perform with the Atlanta Ballet.

Also joining the cast is Scott Palma as the wild and zany toy inventor, Dr. Coppelius. Palma is well-known to Atlanta audiences for his many years of performances with the Atlanta Symphony’s Concert Series for Kids and Symphony Street programs in local schools. Johns Creek residents will have the opportunity to enjoy the highflying leaps and exciting turns and partnering skills as they perform with our local dancers.

Perimeter’s Academy of the Arts Ballet Company is composed of 37 local dancers, mostly high school students, who are chosen by audition and perform three major productions each season. This June, members of the company will travel to London with a group of musicians and worship leaders from Perimeter Church and will perform in various venues throughout the city.
