Arts Center Prepares for Annual 'Bowls' Event

Johns Creek Arts Center holding 'Bowls & Beyond' Oct. 20.

The Johns Creek Arts Center hosts its 5th annual “Bowls” event this fall. This fun-filled event has been revamped and renamed “Bowls & Beyond” and now includes bowls and a variety of pottery pieces such as platters, mugs and plates as well as small paintings.

Patrons who buy a piece of artwork will be able to sample the delicious barbecue served by volunteer cooks competing for votes. This family event also includes live music and takes place Saturday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. A presale that Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. for $5 per ticket (limited to 100 tickets) will allow patrons to pick of the best pottery and paintings.

The “Bowls & Beyond” fundraiser will also serve as the reception and awards ceremony for the “Johns Creek Inspirations” juried art exhibition. This art show is open to all artists 16 and who live in Johns Creek or are members of the Johns Creek Arts Center.
