Wild Weekend, Taste of Johns Creek on Tap

This weekend's events include fundraisers for Chattahoochee High School and Autrey Mill Nature Preserve.

Where/When: , 5230 Taylor Road, Johns Creek, Sunday, Sept. 25, 4-7 p.m.

Why Go?: Unlimited samples from 50 participating restaurants as well as entertainment and activities. Proceeds benefit the football team and stadium with new uniforms and capital improvements for the 4AAAA state-champion Chattahoochee Cougars.

Why Go? A fun, family celebration of all things wild: petting zoo, puppet show at noon, creature-feature lab, Mr. Ben's Reptile Show, bug tent, animal-themed crafts, activities and lots more.

Price: $5 for member, $7 for non-member; maximum $20 for member family, $25 for non-member family

Where/When: Medlock Bridge Shopping Center, 6000 Medlock Bridge Parkway, Johns Creek, Saturday, Sept. 24, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. 

Why Go? Johns Creek residents can finally get rid of old bottles of pesticide and other toxic products around the home in a way that's guilt-free and free of charge.

Price: Free, must pre-register at www.KeepJohnsCreekBeautiful.org.

Where/When: , 10960 State Bridge Road, Johns Creek, Friday, Sept. 23, and Saturday, Sept. 24, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Why Go? Get up close and personal with North Atlanta Dance Theatre and enjoy three original contemporary works by talented choreographers and dancers. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and wine before the event, coffee and dessert afterward. Annual fundraiser.

Price: $50 per person

Where/When: 35 Milton Avenue, Alpharetta, Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m.

Why Go? Enjoy art intown, across from Alpharetta City Hall, as 35 artists offer beautiful artwork for sale, and some artists may be exhibiting their talent. Event will be held rain or shine. Also enjoy the thriving Farmers Market, which takes place each Saturday morning in the area beside City Hall. 

Price: Free

Where/When: , 11458 Alpharetta Highway, Roswell, Saturday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 25, noon-4 p.m.

Why Go? United BMW Roswell is hosting a car show this weekend as a preview to the 1,000-mile Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta on Oct. 1. The event will showcase some of BMW Motorsports' racing heritage.
