Where to Recycle Your Christmas Tree in Johns Creek

The one-day event is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Home Depot on State Bridge Road. The mulch from the trees are used for playgrounds, local government projects and individual yards.

Bring One for the Chipper is Georgia's annual Christmas tree recycling program. Each year, Keep Georgia Beautiful works with private sponsors to organize the recycling event.

In Johns Creek, bring your tree (with ornaments and lights removed) to the Home Depot at 5950 State Bridge Road on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Chipper program involves hundreds of Georgia communities and thousands of volunteers. Since its inception, the program has recycled an estimated 5.9 million Christmas trees.

The mulch from these trees has been used for playgrounds, local government beautification projects, and individual yards. You can support the Chipper program by bringing your cut Christmas tree to a designated drop off site or volunteering with your local coordinator to collect trees.
