'Touch a Truck' in Johns Creek Next Week

The May 18 event is free and open to the public.

Learn how a backhoe and dump truck work from the professionals who operate them during Johns Creek's annual "Touch-A-Truck" on Public Works Day, Saturday, May 18.

Presented by the city's Public Works staff, the event gives children of all ages the chance to get an up-close look at heavy-duty equipment like concrete trucks, or stand in the bucket of a 100-foot ladder fire truck.

This equipment is used to construct the many Public Works projects currently happening around Johns Creek, including intersection improvements on Jones Bridge, miles of sidewalk in different parts of the city, and playground renovations at parks.
