Why Go: Johns Creek's "Super CPR Saturday" offers free lifesaving classes in how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator. The classes are taught by Johns Creek firefighters and paramedics and are most appropriate for ages 10 and older.

Why Go: The classes are hands-on, behind-the-wheel programs that teaches new drivers and their parents what to do when something goes wrong in traffic. Each parent-student team attends a Thursday evening classroom session from 7 to 8:30 and a four-hour behind-the-wheel session on Saturday or Sunday using the family’s car.

Why Go: Kids will learn how to make some authentic Italian dishes with techniques that translate into great cooking at home. The menu includes spaghetti and meatballs; Caesar salad; garlic bread; and kid-friendly tiramisu.
